Community Health Fair Provided Free Screenings and Expert Consultations

Health Fair Overview

CHICAGO, IL - April 6th, 2025

A community health fair, proudly sponsored by Ace Home Care Inc., took place on Sunday, April 6th, 2025, from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Edom Kidest Kidusan Mariam Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, located at 5009 N Northwest Hwy, Chicago, IL 60630.

The event, fully sponsored by Ace Home Care Inc., aimed to promote health awareness and provided valuable resources to community members, with a particular focus on serving the Ethiopian community in Chicago.

Services available at the health fair included free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, as well as opportunities to meet with healthcare professionals. A physical therapist and a doctor were present to answer questions and provide personalized consultations.

Medicaid professionals from Ace Home Care Inc. gave expert presentations on healthcare options and benefits available to seniors and eligible individuals. The fair also featured an open Q&A session where attendees discussed specific health concerns.

"This health fair represented our commitment to improving access to healthcare information and services for our community," said Nelia Ladlad, one of the event organizers. "We wanted to ensure everyone had the opportunity to take proactive steps toward better health."

The event was well-attended by community members who received valuable health information and screenings. Many participants expressed appreciation for the personalized attention and culturally sensitive approach to healthcare education.

Seniors Community Outreach

Enjoy moments from our special Zumba class led by dance instructor Carlos Hernandez, where our seniors participated in seated dance exercises that promote health, joy, and community.
